May God shine His face upon you and keep you. As all of you are well informed, Pakistan has been going through very very difficult times. Man made disasters, like shortage of food and water, worst cut in power supply, most terrible inflation, and worst than all terrorism that has claimed thousands of lives, now the natural disaster incomparable to any disaster in our history has made the lives of millions of Pakistanis absolutely miserable. On going floods have claimed more than 2000 lives, thousands of villages have disappeared from the face of Pakistan. 20-25 million people have lost most of their belongings. There is acute shortage of food, water, clothing, tents, medicines and other necessities for the survival of the people. More than 6 million children are at risk. Diseases are spreading quickly.

AMONG SO MANY CHRISTIANS SUFFERING FROM THE FLOOD ARE COMPARATIVELY SMALL. YET THERE ARE MORE THAN 1200 FAMILIES WHO HAVE LOST EVERYTHING.

Presbyterian Church of Pakistan is working hard to help the victims. Presbyterian Emergency Response Committee is actively involved to support the relief efforts. Apart from what Presbyterian have already contributed, PCP have fixed first Sunday of September for the special prayers and funds collection for the flood victims. i appeal to all Pakistanis and international partners to give generously for the help of flood victims.
