My most humble gratitude goes to the Almighty God and to the officers of the Presbyterian Church of Pakistan who considered it fit to install me as the Executive Secretary, a position vacated by Rev Dr Maqsood Kamil who has headed to United Kingdom, for higher studies.

I am in chair with effect from 1st July 2011.

I have already served the Presbyterian Church (USA) in Lahore for ten years, interacting with pastors and congregations of the Presbyterian Church of Pakistan. During that decade, I acquired intimate knowledge of the difficulties the pastor’s face in spreading the word of God, the conditions of their churches filled mostly with low income congregations and the financial problems confronted by the pastors themselves.

I am thankful to the members who showed confidence in voting for me and I pray that the Lord give me wisdom to deal with situations that come our way.

With great care and fidelity I shall carry out the responsibilities by which I am bound in relation to the office in which I am called to exercise my service. I shall follow and foster the common discipline of the Presbyterian Church of Pakistan. I am born Presbyterian and belong to Saint Andrews Presbyterian Church, Nabha Road, Lahore. I shall faithfully assist the office bearers, the pastors and the congregations so that apostolic activity continues to be exercised by the mandate and in the name of the church. May the Lord Jesus Christ help me in being so faithful.
